Served lunchtimes and evenings from 3rd December—24.December

This menu is only available for pre-booked and pre-ordered tables, not served on any Sunday in December


Celeriac, Hazelnut and Truffle soup  with warm rustic bread

V Beetroot  and Dill Gravlax, creamy goats cheese mousse, crunchy walnuts, and warm blinis

Terrine of pork and ham hock with sweet piccalilli  and warm rustic bread

Avocado Gateau with crab, smoked salmon , crayfish and zesty lemon mayonnaise

Seasonal game warm salad, mushrooms, poached egg & garlic ciabatta croutons



Main Courses

Roast turkey breast with pigs in blankets and sage ,leek & apricot stuffing

Hake Fillet roasted and served with a creamy lemon and dill sauce

V Butternut squash, parsnip puree, sage and chestnut sweet potato topped pie

Slow cooked Venison and beef brisket with a red wine and thyme sauce

Crispy pan fried duck breast with  redcurrant , cognac and kumquat sauce


Main courses will be served with herb roasted potatoes and honey roast root vegetables


V Traditional steamed Christmas pudding with  Amaretto Custard

V Roasted rum infused pineapple with Coconut ice cream

V Warm Chocolate Fondant with Salted Caramel ice cream

V Vanilla Panna Cotta with mulled fruits of the forest and Raspberry Sorbet

V Locally sourced cheese board–Oxford Isis  & Oxford blue, quince jelly & Gourmet crackers

All Deposits are non-refundable.        Ourr Cancellation Policy

We regret that unless at least 2 weeks notice is received for cancellations or reduced party numbers, the original number of reservations will be charged for.  All meal choices need to be pre ordered at least 10 days in advance of booked date. All parties of 8 or more will incur a 12% Service charge.

We do not take cheques all bills need to be settled with cash or  just one credit card.
